Phoenix Gold Ti2 Point Source speakers were engineered to improve the sound quality over any traditional coaxial speakers. The physics of these speakers eliminate time-shifted outputs between the tweeter and woofer by radiating the entire frequency range of sound in a hemispherical pattern from multiple outputs arranged concentrically. With that, these speakers offer a smooth linear response with much more extreme off axis angles for superior quality and definition from a single point source. Also, the outboard crossover, the poly coated paper cone and the unique wave surround reduces cone edge distortion further improving overall tonal quality. The result - beautiful clear, direct sound with no frequency confusion.
