Upgrade your vehicle with this complete Phoenix Gold bass package. The kit combines the shallow-mount MX12D2 12-inch subwoofer with the compact Phoenix Gold ZXM500.1 Class-D monoblock amplifier, a single 12-inch sealed MDF enclosure and a Connects2 PRO-EIGHT 8AWG amplifier wiring kit.
The MX12D2 features dual 2-ohm voice coils. For this package, the voice coils should be wired in series to create a final 4-ohm load. The ZXM500.1 then supplies 230 watts RMS to the 300-watt RMS subwoofer.

Phoenix Gold ZXM500.1 Monoblock Amplifier
The ZXM500.1 is an ultra-compact Class-D monoblock amplifier that provides powerful bass amplification without requiring a large installation area. It accepts RCA and high-level inputs, making it suitable for systems using either an aftermarket head unit or a compatible factory radio.

The included enclosure is constructed from MDF and finished in black acoustic carpet. Its sealed design provides controlled bass response while securely housing and protecting the subwoofer.
This is a separate universal 12-inch enclosure supplied as part of the package. It has not been specifically manufactured or acoustically tuned exclusively for the MX12D2 subwoofer.

Recommended System Configuration
The MX12D2 has two 2-ohm voice coils. For this package, connect the voice coils in series to produce a final 4-ohm load. At 4 ohms, the ZXM500.1 amplifier supplies 230 watts RMS to the subwoofer.
Do not connect the voice coils in parallel without correctly limiting and setting the amplifier output, as this creates a 1-ohm load capable of receiving up to 500 watts RMS from the amplifier.
Correct gain, crossover and subsonic-filter adjustment is essential. Professional installation is recommended.
