The DLS Reference RC6.28 is a premium 6.5-inch component speaker kit designed to deliver natural warmth, precise detail and controlled musical dynamics.
Developed as the next generation of the RC6.2Q, the RC6.28 continues the DLS Natural Sound philosophy. Separate woofers, tweeters and crossover networks create a wide, detailed soundstage with accurate vocals, controlled mid-bass and smooth high-frequency reproduction.
The 6.5-inch woofers feature coated wood-fibre cones and lightweight Santoprene surrounds for fast, natural bass and midrange performance. DLS Full Basket System construction integrates the magnet structure into a rigid die-cast aluminium basket, helping reduce unwanted resonance and improve cone control.
A hybrid ferrite and neodymium motor system with a copper shorting ring improves efficiency, linearity and dynamic performance while helping keep distortion low.
The RC28C tweeters use 28mm double-treated silk domes with internal damping, neodymium motors and CNC-machined aluminium rear chambers. This construction produces open and detailed high frequencies without becoming sharp or tiring during extended listening.
Separate precision crossover networks use selected capacitors, resistors and air-core coils to create a balanced transition between the woofers and tweeters.
