One Look Navi now has a 3rd generation interface with even better graphics so everything practically jumps off the screen at you. You get the information you want at a glance, and controlling your system is more convenient.

You get a wide variety of advanced tuning features, including the ability to use the versatile Alpine TuneIt App with Facebook linkage. Excellent sound quality complements its wide compatibility, including built-in Bluetooth with Voice Dial Function and built-in DAB/DAB+.

 MirrorLink™ is a standard for connecting smartphone devices to vehicle-based infotainment systems. It is a cross-industry solution supported by leading automotive manufacturers, system suppliers, consumer electronics manufacturers and handset manufacturers as part of the Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC). MirrorLink™ offers seamless and convenient use of smartphone-based applications such as navigation, music playback and other entertainment and communication apps.

If you own a smartphone that is MirrorLink™ enabled, visit your phone manufacturer’s app store to download the needed software (additional charges may apply) and install it on your phone. The head unit is just a terminal, as all processing is done in the phone. The phone charges while driving. The driver can get live traffic updates while navigating.

Alpine TuneIt App for Tuning and Keeping in Touch     

The INE-W987D works with Alpine’s cool and convenient Alpine TuneIt App to bring you custom sound tuning features right from your smartphone.

You can upload your sound settings to the Alpine Cloud Server to share them with other Alpine fans, and see their settings. The app also displays Facebook messages, lets you “Like” them and even reads them to you! Download Alpine TuneIt App with TTS from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Connection for Alpine Climate Control and Parking Sensor Interfaces

Many original factory head units have climate control and parking displays, which will be lost if the unit is removed. With the INE-W987D, this is not a problem, as it supports Alpine interfaces that provide attractive graphic displays of climate control and parking information. This ensures full integration of the Alpine system with the car for greater driving safety and convenience.

Parking sensor displays distances to the front and rear, making it easier and safer to maneuvre into and out of parking spaces.

Camera display gives you a clear view as you park. Front and rear distances are also shown. The system automatically mutes on reverse to hear the sensor sound.

Full climate and heater contour display including air vent settings and seat heater display makes it easy to achieve desired settings.

Alpine INE-W987D Installation Kits

Cleanly installing an 7” screen into a regular dashboard can be a challenge, so Alpine provides an increasing number of installation kits, including everything from mechanical parts to adapters and interfaces for Steering Wheel Remote Control and Vehicle Display (if available). DAB Tuner for Superior Radio Sound Quality

In areas where DAB is not available, the unit will automatically switch between RDS and DAB, for continuous high quality reception. It also offers Service Search and a DAB antenna power supply. An optional Alpine antenna is available 

HDMI Connection

Connect your HDMi enabled smartphone or portable media player via HDMI connection to enjoy all your video content on the INE-W987D’s high resolution display. Full digital data transfer and the WVGA display ensure excellent image quality. An optional HDMI cable.

Fully Detachable Faceplate

This anti-theft feature lets you easily remove the faceplate with a single touch, so you can take it with you when leaving the car. After removal, the unit will be in standby mode until it is replaced, rendering the unit useless to a thief.
