The job is not finished until the trim looks factory. Stretch boot carpet, acoustic grille cloth and high-tack adhesive sprays are what separate a competent install from a show-quality one. Our trim section covers everything you need to wrap sub enclosures, parcel shelves, kick panels and amp racks, with materials sized for both single-box DIY projects and full carpet-out builds. Boot carpet by the metre

Our stretch trim carpet is sold by the linear metre off a two-metre wide roll, giving you enough material to wrap most single sub boxes in one piece. Pile heights range from short close-weave for tight curves and complex shapes to longer pile for parcel shelves and kick panels. Colours stocked include black, charcoal, anthracite and grey, all chosen to match common UK boot trim tones in Ford, Vauxhall, Volkswagen, BMW and Mercedes interiors.

Acoustic grille cloth

• Standard black. Most common, suits sealed boot installs and amp racks. Forgives small surface defects underneath.
• Charcoal grey. Matches OEM boot panels in Audi, Volkswagen and BMW for an OEM-look finish.
• Open-weave acoustic. Lower transmission loss, used in front of horn-loaded compression drivers and SQ tweeters.
• Stretch fabric. Two-way stretch for compound-curve panels and fibreglass enclosures.

Adhesives, sprays and primers

Trim glue choice matters as much as the carpet itself. Our high-tack contact adhesive sprays are formulated for automotive temperatures and survive UK winters without lifting from the substrate. We stock pull-trigger aerosols for small jobs, one-litre tins for full carpet-outs and brush-on adhesives for the edges where overspray would mark interior trim.

Compatibility and fitting

If you are wrapping a sub box, plan the supporting parts too:

• Terminal cup or plate. Fitted before the carpet so the cloth wraps neatly around the recessed edge.
• Grille frame. Carpet or cloth stretches over a removable grille to protect the cone from boot luggage.
• Fascia adapter. Required if you are also fitting a new head unit at the same time as the rear install.
• ISO harness. Keeps the factory wiring reversible for warranty and resale.
• Steering-wheel control adapter. Retains stalk buttons on the new stereo.
• Aerial adapter. Converts the factory antenna plug to standard DIN.

Tools that make trim work easier

For DIY installers we recommend a soft rubber roller, a heavy-duty staple gun loaded with 8mm to 10mm staples and a sharp trimming knife with snap-off blades. Box cutters tend to drag carpet pile and leave bald spots that show under boot light. A heat gun on low helps stretch cloth over tight curves without ripping the weave.

Order quantities and offcuts

Order at least 20 percent more carpet than the bare panel surface area, to cover edge wrap and any test pulls during fitting. For complex compound shapes such as boot floor inserts and spare wheel covers, plan on 40 percent over. Offcuts are useful for door pillar wraps, small kick-panel pods and amp rack edging.
