Video in motion modules that bring the screen back to life
Many factory infotainment systems lock the video source the moment the vehicle moves. A video in motion module overrides that speed signal so DVD, USB media, HDMI mirroring and aftermarket cameras stay visible at speed. The interface is fully reversible. Unplug the module and the system reverts to its original behaviour, with no error codes left in the head unit.
Coverage across Land Rover, BMW, Mercedes and VW
The Connects2 CTVIM range covers Land Rover Discovery 3 and 4, Range Rover L322, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover Vogue, plus BMW E and F series with CCC, CIC and NBT head units, Mercedes Comand 2.0 and NTG units, and VW Group MFD2 and RNS systems. Each module is matched to one head unit family so the data line decoding is precise and the dash menus remain undisturbed.
What the driver and passengers actually see
With the module active the factory screen displays the original DVD player output, the factory USB media app and any aftermarket reversing camera or 360 view at any road speed. Sat nav and audio continue to function normally. The driver can choose to keep the screen on the map and let rear passengers watch entertainment from an aftermarket headrest splitter.

Compatibility and fitting

- ISO wiring harness. Useful when fitting an aftermarket head unit alongside the video module.
- Steering wheel control adapter. Allows volume and source selection to stay on the steering wheel when an aftermarket screen is fitted.
- Aerial adapter. Required where a new head unit is added at the same time, especially on Land Rover, BMW and Mercedes fakra antennae.
Legal note for UK drivers
A video in motion module unlocks the screen, but UK road rules ask the driver not to watch video while driving. We supply these modules so passengers can enjoy DVD and USB content on long trips, so installers can run reverse cameras at any speed, and so demonstration vehicles can display promotional content. The driver should keep the screen on navigation or audio while the vehicle is in motion.
How long fitting takes
Most plug and play modules fit in 30 to 60 minutes. The head unit slides forward on factory keys, the relevant connector is unclipped, the module is added in line, and the trim refits cleanly. Cars with central screens behind a touch lift panel take longer because the panel has to be removed first.
Choosing the right module
Match the module to the head unit family rather than the model year. Range Rover L322 needs the CCC or CIC code from the factory screen menu, BMW F series needs to be classed as NBT or NBT-Evo, and Mercedes Comand 2.0 differs from later NTG units. Take a photo of the head unit menu and the connector before ordering and our team will confirm the right CTVIM part on the phone in minutes.
